This phase often brings shifts in mood, sleep, focus, relationships, and sense of self. It can feel confusing — especially when there isn’t a clear way to understand it.
Periwink exists to change that.
Real experiences from women moving through it — together.
"I was mid-presentation and my face went full crimson. Instead of dying inside, I said 'power surge' and kept going. Three women messaged me after."
"Three months on estradiol patches. The brain fog lifted first — like someone cleaned a window I didn't know was dirty. Then the sleep came back. I cried from relief."
"4:17am again. I've memorized the pattern of light on my ceiling. My husband sleeps like he's being paid for it. I started keeping a journal by the bed."
"I'm not the same person I was two years ago. And I don't want to go back. That's the part no one warned me about — that sometimes what falls away is a relief."

Clinical Psychologist · Founder, Periwink · New York City
Dr. Adrian Tubero is a clinical psychologist with over 20 years of experience helping people navigate emotional change, relationships, trauma, and the deeper patterns that shape how we live and relate.
But Periwink did not come only from professional work.
It grew from a personal recognition that many women move through this phase of life feeling confused, isolated, and left to make sense of profound changes without enough support, understanding, or honest conversation.
What struck Adrian most was not only the physical experience — but how deeply this phase can affect identity, relationships, emotional wellbeing, and a woman’s sense of self.
Periwink was created as a different kind of space: one that brings together insight, shared experience, learning, and community — so women can better understand what’s happening and move through it with greater clarity, support, and self-trust.
Adrian’s work is informed by both clinical training and lived experience, with a focus on helping women feel more connected, informed, and less alone in what can otherwise feel difficult to name.
